Camping

Ella and Tess

What a great beach!

Roasting marshmallows on a warm September evening - no bugs. What could be better!

Chinese Lantern Festival

Jada and Ella getting ready to go to the festival

Hey! We've got lollypops!!! Excellent!!!

Cool lanterns.

Recommended for everyone. September was a great time to see it with young kids as it got dark early and the kids weren't up too late. After dark, the lanterns really come to life. A must see.

Body Art

Ella loves getting her face painted. Mommy painted the clown face in early August.

Last days of daddy daycare and Ella got her daddy to paint her face like a tiger.

End of summer and Ella got mommy to paint ballet slippers on her feet.

Fishin' at the cottage

Getting ready

Em caught a big one - and let it go again.

Cruising the lake

Hil - wearing a sweater I (Effie) knit for Darren when he was 2!!!!! Her friend wanted to buy it from her. Guess I should start knitting again.

At the Sweezie Cottage

Ella loved it at the cottage. She really loved the lake and wanted to jump in first thing every morning. She never actually "jumped" in on her own as it is over 30 feet deep off the dock. She "slid" into the lake.
She didn't want any help and wanted to swim "by my own" "don't touch me" "don't help me" was what she kept saying. She did like to swim close to mommy and daddy and liked to hold on to a noodle. Oh, what fun!

Daddy bought her a purple fishing rod. Just perfect.

Pulling others around the lake in the tube was lots of fun.

Trying to catch a lake snake in the paddle boat was also fun.

Goofing around with Auntie Donna's hat. Now, that was fun!

What a cutie!

Look what the girls dragged onto the dock! A caterpillar - they all ran screaming when it moved.

I love Canada!!!!

Fun Fun Fun

Couple of Princesses

Ella loves to sit on this bike in the back yard and pretend she's riding it.

Miss Molly Maid - cleaning her kitchen that Auntie Donna had saved in her barn from when Emily and Hilary were little. I think she got it on Club Z points 15 years ago. Ella loves it. Cleaning it is a lot of fun, too!

Happy Father's Day - 2007

Nanny, Ella and Mommy at our father's day picnic down by the lake.

A fun bike ride on Father's Day.

Ella's first trip to the movie theatre

Ella loves Shrek 1 and 2 so much that she has watched these two movies over a hundred times. She watched Shrek 2 - the entire movie - when she was only 16 months old.
On June 15, we took her to see Shrek 3. She loved it and sat in daddy's lap the whole time. (We actually didn't know they had kid booster seats until we left the theatre).

Buying her popcorn with Auntie Lisa.

Enjoying her rootbeer while waiting for the movie to start.

Ella's many sweaters

Got this lovely handknit sweater from Mrs. Strangemore in Port aux Basques

Oops! No sweater, just cute princesses. Jada came for a visit.

Jada's got a cute sweater and I'm wearing one of my favorites - from my nanny - my bubblegum sweater.

Here I am helping out again. I love to spin the lettuce.

Another great sweater from my nanny. She loves to knit. Lucky me.
